We are expanding our AI Engineering team and looking for a talented AI Engineer to help design, deploy, and optimize AI systems at scale.

Position: AI Engineer (Full-time)

Reports to: Head of AI / Lead ML Engineer

Role Overview

As an AI Engineer at DataMark, you will build and operationalize advanced AI models—including machine learning algorithms, deep learning architectures, NLP systems, and large language model (LLM)-based applications.
You will work closely with Data Scientists, Data Engineers, and Product teams to convert prototypes into scalable, production-grade solutions.

This position is ideal for someone who loves experimentation, understands AI systems end-to-end, and enjoys turning research into real products.

Key Responsibilities

Model Development & Optimization

• Build and refine ML/DL models for forecasting, classification, recommendation, anomaly detection, and more.

• Implement and fine-tune transformer-based NLP models and LLM applications.

• Conduct feature engineering, hyperparameter tuning, and model performance optimization.

Productionizing AI Systems

• Deploy ML models using MLflow, FastAPI, Docker, Kubernetes, or similar tools.

• Build inference pipelines and scalable serving systems.

• Implement monitoring, model drift detection, and feedback loops.

AI Infrastructure

• Collaborate with Data Engineers to design feature stores, model registries, and real-time data pipelines.

• Work with cloud AI services (AWS/GCP/Azure) and GPU/accelerator compute environments.

• Improve internal tooling for training, evaluation, and continuous model delivery.

R&D & Innovation

• Experiment with emerging AI technologies including LLMs, generative AI, vector databases, and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG).

• Prototype new algorithms and evaluate their applicability to financial and risk-based use cases.

• Contribute to internal knowledge-sharing, technical guidelines, and best practices.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, AI, Machine Learning, Data Science, or related technical fields.

• Strong proficiency in Python and ML libraries (PyTorch, TensorFlow, scikit-learn).

• Experience building and deploying machine learning or deep learning models.

• Solid knowledge of algorithms, optimization, and statistics.

• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure).

• Understanding of APIs, REST, and microservices architectures.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience fine-tuning transformer models (BERT, GPT-like architectures).

• Experience with vector databases (Pinecone, Milvus, Weaviate).

• Knowledge of RAG pipelines and AI agent frameworks.

• Experience with distributed training on GPUs.

• Background in financial analytics, risk modeling, or time-series forecasting.

• Contributions to open-source AI projects or published research.
