Position: Data Scientist (Full-time)
- Location: Ho Chi Minh City / Remote (Hybrid)
- Department: Data Science & Analytics
- Report to: Head of Data Science
Role Overview
As a Data Scientist at DataMark, you will design, build, and deploy machine-learning models that power our next-generation financial intelligence products. You will work with large-scale datasets (financial, macroeconomic, behavioral, transactional), experiment with cutting-edge ML techniques, and collaborate with Data Engineers, Analysts, and Product Managers to deliver high-value solutions for our clients.
This role is ideal for someone who thinks rigorously, codes cleanly, and wants to solve real-world problems with data.
Key Responsibilities
Modeling & Analytics
Develop predictive models for forecasting, risk scoring, anomaly detection, and optimization.
Apply machine learning techniques such as gradient boosting, random forests, deep learning, NLP, clustering, and time-series modeling.
Perform feature engineering, model tuning, cross-validation, and explainability analysis (SHAP, LIME, model diagnostics).
Data Work
Explore, clean, and structure large, messy, multi-source datasets.
Partner with Data Engineers to design pipelines, data marts, and analytical datasets.
Conduct exploratory analysis to uncover patterns and generate insights.
Deployment & Product Integration
Package models for production using Python, Docker, MLflow, FastAPI, or similar tools.
Monitor, validate, and recalibrate model performance in live environments.
Collaboration & Communication
Work closely with product teams to translate business problems into modeling tasks.
Communicate findings clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Contribute to internal knowledge sharing, code reviews, and best-practice standards.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Economics, Engineering, or related fields.
Strong proficiency in Python (pandas, NumPy, scikit-learn, statsmodels, PyTorch/TensorFlow is a plus).
Solid understanding of statistics, probability, machine learning algorithms, and model evaluation techniques.
Hands-on experience with SQL and working with structured/unstructured data.
Ability to translate business questions into analytical solutions.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in financial modeling, forecasting, or risk analytics (credit, market, liquidity, fraud).
Familiarity with big-data and distributed computing (Spark, Databricks, BigQuery).
Experience with NLP (topic modeling, sentiment analysis, transformer-based methods).
Experience deploying ML models to production.
Publications, Kaggle projects, or open-source contributions.
What We Offer
Competitive compensation package (salary + performance bonus).
Access to high-quality datasets and real-world financial applications.
Opportunity to work with advanced ML systems (forecasting pipelines, stress-testing engines, NLP platforms).
A culture that values scientific thinking, experimentation, and continuous learning.
Career development path toward Senior Data Scientist or ML Engineer.
Hybrid working environment, flexible hours, modern tech stack.
